Now is time for pruning plants, disposing of raspberry canes and opening up gooseberry plants. If you imagine a dish, then the goosgob (as we call it) needs to have branches that are just like that - dish shaped. This allows the greatest amount of air circulation and the reduction of fungal infections.
Also cut out branches that are touching each other, remember to wear gloves. You can, of course, pot the cuttings on if you have a warm windowsill to keep them on.
