Beetroot Pudding
This pudding tastes equally good hot or cold.
Method
- Mix brown flour with baking powder.
- Rub in fat, add sugar and grated beetroot.
- Mix all the ingredients to a soft cake consistency with 3 or 4 tablespoons of milk.
- Turn the mixture into a greased pie dish and bake in a moderate oven for 35-40 minutes.
Ingredients
- 175g (6oz) brown flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 10g (½oz) fat
- 25g (1oz) sugar
- 110g (4oz) cooked or raw
- beetroot, finely grated
- 3-4 tbsp milk
