The green, narrow, pointed leaves are used to flavour a variety of fish and chicken dishes or may be steeped in wine vinegar to make tarragon vinegar. Although not as strongly flavoured as French tarragon, this variety is less likely to succumb to harsh winter weather.

Where to sow

Sow outdoors in shallow drills or in a 9cm (3") pot, when large enough to handle.

Handy tip

Mr DIGWELL harvests leaves from June until the first frost. He thins to 7cm (3") apart.

What to do next

Transplant to growing site in September or early the following spring.
